You can select "no" at registration and AJSC will keep and direct your volunteer levy towards rewarding, reimbursing, simplfying or paying for people to fulfill the roles required to keep the club running. We (and the rest of your team) will still expect you to engage and contribute to the normal activities and expectations of running your child's team (orange roster, pitch set up and pack up, selling your teams allocated raffle tickets etc.)
Roles that attract Complimentary Registrations (either applied at registration or refunded during the season)
Coach - Critical role for the club - without coaches we have no teams. Make your desire to coach during the season known to the club registrar (registrar@ajsc.org.au). We have coach specific training during the year and provide structured development programs at the club during the course of the season. Ensure you select Coach Role during registration - the volunteer levy will be waived and you will receive one complimentary registration per team that you coach. Committee Member - these positions are elected at the AGM each year or vacancy filled by committee vote. If you hold one of these roles you can select

Referees Co-ordinator - Essential administration role that maintains list, contact details or our referees. rosters referees based on skill levels to the game each week and provides details each week to admin for payment of referee fees. There are typically 17 games in the U11 to U17 age groups that need to be allocated referees. Referee Coaching and Mentoring is provided by others if you are not technically skilled in refereeing. T

Volunteer Co-ordinator - Maintain our list of volunteers, welcome them to club, discuss their contributions, get them in contact with respective coordinators with the club (Game Day, Fundraising, Referee etc) manage the hours and refunds in AJSC website. Fundraising Co-ordinator - Coordinate key fundraising activities and events for AJSC. Allocate volunteers, manage regulatory requirements for fundraising, handle cash and banking for fundraising events (raffles, events etc) .
Sponsor - Sponsor a significant amount to the club as principle contact from a business etc - i.e. your company makes donation/sponsor ship the club. If you have paid the volunteer levy it will be refunded to you and you will receive one complimentary registration (paid as a refund) for each individual donation over $500. Your complimentary registration refund may be applied to a nominated family member (Niece, Grandson etc) Contact us on Facebook or email secretary@ajsc.org.au if you would like to sponsor.
Any of these roles that are taken up by a person with no direct children involved in the club will be able to nominate a family member to apply their complimentary registration to (Niece, Grandson etc) this will be via refund.
Roles that attract Reimbursement, Reward or Wage
Administrator - This is a part time employee position working average of 15hrs per month. Pay and conditions as per this Position Description. Role is subject to vacancy, club finances and appointed by committee after meeting the required interview and selection criteria.
Game Day Coordinator - This is key role in managing the AJSC grounds on each game day. Essential activities include coordinating volunteer marshals, addressing spectator concerns, and a focal point for club contact on the day to ensure smooth operations of all club activities. Full Position Description Here. Role requires attendance at Game days from First Fixtured Game to conclusion of the last and attracts an honorarium of $150 per game day. The role (and fee) can be shared among one or more volunteers by mutual agreement between the volunteers and the club. This agreement will be in writing.
Referee - Without referees we do not have games. We need referees for U11 to U17 Age groups. Referees can be aged 12 to Adult. Referee fees increase with length of game, complexity (SSG vs FIFA) and age group. Contact the club for more information on fees and Training available - you do not need to be a member or AJSC or play for AJSC to be a referee for us. All are welcome. Roles Eligible for refund of the volunteer levy (refund made on completion of the volunteer work)
Team Manager - if you are the official team manager (confirmed by the coach and your contact details as team manager are logged in our website you will be refunded the volunteer levy charged at registration.
Ground Marshal - Key role to provide support for all AJSC and visiting coaches, players and spectators. Role will be coordinated by the Game Day Coordinator. Ground marshals field questions around fixtures, weather conditions, help with responding to incidents, general contact for smooth running of AJSC grounds on game day. Volunteer levy will be refunded once >4hrs of marshaling time has been logged with AJSC.
Girls Carnival - there are two ways to get refunded. Be an active and recognised member of the Girls Carnival Committee or be assigned a role/task prior to or on the Carnival day that 4 hrs or more. Volunteer levy will be refunded once time has been logged with AJSC.
Canteen - Work in the Canteen more than 4hrs. Volunteer levy will be refunded once time has been logged with AJSC.
Line Marking - Either you are the clubs recognised grounds coordinator and organises volunteers to mark the lines or you mark lines of all AJSC pitches once during the season including looking after/cleaning AJSC line marking equipment. Volunteer levy will be refunded once time has been logged with AJSC.
Social Committee - AJSC wants to lift the number of social activities it holds and increase our sense of club by making use of the great facilities we have at our disposal. If you are a recognised member of the social committee that delivers one event during the 2020 season the volunteer levy will be refunded.
Fundraising Special Events - There are number of special events that require specific one off contribution of time from volunteers to make them successful - such events as Ignition Car Show Parking, Selling Raffle Tickets at Perth Glory Game on 26th of April, Covering our Fundraising Coordinator for 4 weeks whilst they take leave in March and April. etc. Volunteer levy will be refunded once time has been logged with AJSC.
Assistant Referee (Running the Lines/Lines Person) - Your FIFA team will be required to supply one lines person per game. Complete the 2hr training course and do at least 2 games as lines person to the satisfaction of the coach and game referee.
Other Skill - What can you contribute? What things do you know, are passionate about, or skilled in that you could contribute to AJSC. Contributions that are recognised by the committee to improve our club will be refunded the volunteer levy.
